Bringing Comfort to Caregivers: One Basket at a Time
OUR MISSION
MISSION STATEMENT
Caring for Caregivers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the wellness of healthcare providers and raising awareness about healthcare burnout. Through community events, we create and deliver thoughtful gift baskets to hospitals and clinics as tokens of gratitude for those who sacrifice so much to care for others.
These acts of appreciation serve as a platform for our deeper mission: addressing the root causes of burnout by educating younger generations on how to navigate the emotional, physical, and mental demands of healthcare. We strive to give back, advocate for improvements in training environments, and inspire future healthcare professionals to pursue this vital and heroic field with resilience and compassion.

RN Utilization Manager/RN Case Manager - Acute Care
As a licensed registered nurse with 10 years of experience in an acute care setting, my clinical background and expertise allow me to share frontline insight to champion patient safety, quality of care, and ethics in decision making, to help influence policy, and advance the nursing profession's role in healthcare transformation.
Through C4C's fundraising and community service support and as an advisory board member, I hope to advocate for C4C's mission of giving back and showing gratitude to our unsung heroes in healthcare, while also fostering C4C's students' initiative, drive, focus, and dedication to learning about the healthcare profession.

Advisory Board Leader
Tina Chang
Tina Chang brings over twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry, blending a strong service-oriented approach with close collaboration with ownership groups to optimize returns on their investments.
I joined the Caring for Caregivers Advisory Board because of both my professional background in hospitality and my personal journey as a cancer survivor. Throughout my treatment, I received compassionate care from caregivers, particularly at the infusion center, and saw firsthand the profound dedication and impact of their work.
Joining this board allows me to give back, support caregivers, and help advance the mission of C4C.

OUR STORY
While staying with my mom during a long hospital admission, I watched doctors, nurses, and hospital staff move from room to room, shift after shift, often past exhaustion. Their work made her healing possible. It also revealed something rarely acknowledged: patient care is draining on the well-being of those providing it.
As a student, I couldn’t treat patients or change hospital systems. Caring for Caregivers began with a simple question: Who is taking care of the people we rely on most?
What started as a local effort in California has since grown into a network of students and communities working toward the same goal. From America to Africa and Asia, we focus on one idea—supporting all caregivers in ways shaped by the needs of each community.
Caring for Caregivers exists because healthcare doesn’t function without the people behind it.

The Dedicated Board Members

President and Irvine Chapter Leader
Joshua Lin
Hi, I’m Josh, the founder of this initiative. I started this organization because I believe healthcare workers deserve the same support, appreciation, and care that they give to others every day. Even as a student, I’ve seen how powerful small acts of recognition can be—and how much they can brighten the lives of the people who keep our communities healthy.
Fortunately, I was blessed with an incredible team, and I’m excited to build a platform that brings students and communities together to uplift caregivers around the world. Our work continues to grow from local projects to global partnerships, and I’m grateful to be able to leave an impact on such heroes through even the smallest gestures.
Thanks for being part of a mission that celebrates the caregivers who make everything else possible.

Vice President and Mission Viejo Chapter Leader
George Pan
Hi! I'm George, and I serve as the Vice President of Caring for Caregivers. I help plan our events, organize the team, and think of creative ways to educate students about healthcare burnout.
I joined C4C because I've always been interested in the medical field, and I wanted to use that passion to help uplift the people who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
Joining C4C was a good decision because it has helped me grow as a person by strengthening my communication and leadership skills.

Vice President and New York Chapter Leader
Renee Lee
Hi! I'm Renee Lee! As the vice president, I guide our New York Chapter through planning events, creating designs, and managing the activities that bring our mission to life. I love bringing people together and adding creativity as well as heart to everything we do.
I joined Caring for Caregivers to support the dedicated individuals who spend their lives caring for others. Being part of this community has given me greater insight into the effects of not addressing mental health, which furthered my efforts towards showing healthcare professionals that they're seen, valued, and appreciated.

Head of Communications/Outreach and Website Designer
Braeden Bunya
I'm Braeden Bunya, and I serve as the heart of the communications and outreach of Caring for Caregivers. I orchestrate many of the events, converse with our partners and recipients, and set into motion all of our gift basket donations. Additionally, I've designed this entire website!
I am a part of C4C because of my love for the medical field. As someone who has been surrounded by many doctors and physicians for much of my life, I've seen firsthand the beauty but also the drawbacks that come with a career in medicine. I hope that through this initiative, I can have a positive impact on those who selflessly serve us, whilst also deepening my love and knowledge of medicine.

Board Treasurer/Bay Area Chapter Leader
Chloe Wong
Hello, I'm Chloe! As treasurer of C4C, I am responsible for designing the graphics of the posts on our Instagram account. In addition, I am the chapter leader of the Bay Area Chapter! I lead their meetings, guide them in planning their in-person initiatives, and consistently check up on their tasks to ensure their chapter runs smoothly.
I initially joined Caring for Caregivers because I've recognized the burnout within our medical communities, especially through hospital visits for my own family. Through this, I've developed a passion for giving back to relieve this stress for the same providers that allow us to remain healthy, and I am ecstatic to do so through this organization!
